Daniel Wesson is a Costa Rican artist and naturalist whose work is shaped by the tropical landscapes of the South Caribbean. Living and working in the Puerto Viejo area, his practice is closely informed by daily observation of Coral Reef and rainforest ecosystems, wildlife, and the relationship between humans and nature.
Wesson blends magical realism and impressionism, exploring themes of perception and ecology. His background as a naturalist, birdwatcher, and freediver brings both accuracy and intention to his imagery.
